  • The next meeting of the PJYC (Port Jervis Youth Coalition) is TODAY at 2:15pm in room 103

  • Holiday Wrestling Tournament recognition: Charlie Wylie 1st place and Most outstanding wrestling, Richard O’Lena 6th place, Alyssa Reed 3rd place, & Matt Oosterom 3rd place. Port Jervis placed 10th!

• TOMORROW: 

  • Mock Trial is meeting on Tuesday December 20 after school in room 311.

    • 12 Days of Cases: Each day will feature a new case, read all the details, solve the case, and send your answer in via the QR code. The first 5 to solve the day's case will get a prize.

• Juniors - If you want part of choosing the theme for this year's semi-formal, come to the meeting after school on Wednesday January 4th. See Hov, Dunleavy, or one of your class officers for more information.

• ATTENTION SENIORS: 

  • Please bring a copy of your 2 letters of recommendation, your resume, and any college acceptance letters to the guidance office for your scholarship packets.  Scholarship packet lists will go in the mail the week of Christmas break.

  • Seniors, check your email for the Senior Cap/Gown & Diploma Order Form 2023 link to order your CAP & GOWN and how you would like your name to appear on your diploma. The deadline is Jan 9th.  The $10 payment may be made in cash to Mrs. Schileds at any time prior to March 1st. 

  • Parent Ads are DUE 12/23/22.  All pictures and Ads can be handed into Mrs. Van Horn in room 104 or the front office.

• SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

  • The Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus is now available to Juniors and Seniors. This $250 scholarship is for students who display humanitarian principles by word and deed.  Mailed applications must be postmarked by Jan. 31, 2023.  Please see the link: https://nyspta.org/home/pta-leaders/awards-and-recognitions/youth-humanitarian-award/

• Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
