It’s a great day to be a Raider! A big congratulations to All Section 9 Class B Coach of the Year—Damien Striharsky. The Varsity Football Captains have been chosen for the All-Section Team: Jacob Balmos, Calvin Crews, Ryan Ross, & Tyler Montalvo. Tyler has also been named Section 9 Lineman of the Year.
If you are still interested in the Ski & Snowboard club today is the absolute last day you can sign up. We still have one spot that became available. If you are interested you need to see Mr. Kowal today.

Last Day of donations for the Town of Deerpark Lions and Freshman Forum classes. Donations include, but are not limited to: toys, mittens, gloves, socks, books, and toiletries. The bin will be located in the guidance office.

Attention French and Spanish students: The Société Honoraire de Français is excited to announce our Bûche de Noël event! The Bûche de Noël is a traditional French yule log cake and on December 21st we will be judging who has the best decorated bûche! We are inviting all French and Spanish students to enter this event! Want to enter? Teams of up to 4 language students are welcome to bake, decorate, and enter the contest. Please complete this Form by Friday, December 16. Please bring a copy of your 2 letters of recommendation, your resume, and any college acceptance letters to the guidance office for your scholarship packets. Scholarship packet lists will go in the mail the week of Christmas break.
Seniors, check your email for the Senior Cap/Gown & Diploma Order Form 2023 link to order your CAP & GOWN and how you would like your name to appear on your diploma. The deadline is Jan 9th. The $10 payment may be made in cash to Mrs. Schileds at any time prior to March 1st.
Parent Ads are DUE 12/23/22. All pictures and Ads can be handed into Mrs. Van Horn in room 104 or the front office.

Are you an adventurous student? Do you like snow, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring new ecosystems, are you an upper level science student? If so, the Winter Ecology Trip is for you! Dates are: 1/24-1/28 and permission slips and itineraries are posted outside of room 209. Deposits and permission slips will be accepted until the trip is full. See Mrs. Stankunas if you have any questions.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:
NYS PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship application for HS Seniors who will pursue a degree in education is now available on the NYS PTA website. https://nyspta.org/home/pta-leaders/awards-and-recognitions/jenkins-scholarship/ All applications must be postmarked or submitted electronically by DEC. 15, 2022.
The Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus is now available to Juniors and Seniors. This $250 scholarship is for students who display humanitarian principles by word and deed. Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.
Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
