ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Check out this important public service announcement starring your classmates from the PJYC:
Violence among teens is a real thing and we would like No More Preventable Tragedies.
Please join the Port Jervis Youth Coalition (PJYC), Tuesday, April 29th (rain date Wednesday, April 30th), during lunch periods in front of the school, to support the annual Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids for the National "Take Down Tobacco Day”!
We're going to chalk our sidewalks full of anti-tobacco, anti-smoking and anti-vaping messages. PJHS Takes Down Tobacco!
We would love to have any and all of our faculty and staff join us if you’re available.
PJHS will stand up against the BIG TOBACCO companies who lure kids into addiction with their tricky marketing and advertising and make billions of dollars in the process.
Big Tobacco companies try to hook kids by creating fancy flavors and packing their products with massive amounts of nicotine.
Let’s unite in a message to them that we won’t fall for their tricks!

LATE BUSES: late buses run Monday through Friday. They depart at 3:45 pm and again at 4:45. They are for students staying after school for school-related functions, and students must be issued a pass by their teacher or coach to ride the bus home.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Standby for an Important Cell Phone announcement from Mr. Lazzaro
As you may know, Governor Hochul has set forth an initiative to curtail cell phone usage among students. While the expectation has been that cell phones stay out of sight in instructional spaces at all times, we are going to be working toward enforcing this policy consistently. Teachers will remind students at the beginning of the period that cell phones are to be put away. Students who have their cell phones out will be subject to progressive discipline.
Cell phones, as you know, are not only a distraction to student learning, they also have a negative impact on social-emotional connections and mental health. This effort will require not only the consistent enforcement of this expectation in the classrooms and in the school, but the support of our families. Our collective efforts will ultimately benefit our students.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you for all of your support as we work together to move our students forward.
