Welcome to the HYDRAA Telangana Survey App ("App"), developed by Pixelvide for the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.

The HYDRAA Telangana Survey App is designed to assist field officers and survey teams in collecting data about hydrological features across Telangana. We collect the following types of information:
Personal Information: When you log in to the App, we collect your username and password to authenticate your access. This information is provided by your organization (HYDRAA) and is used solely for login purposes.
Location Data: The App uses GPS integration to automatically capture your location when you start a survey or take a photo. This data is essential for geotagging survey responses and ensuring accurate documentation of hydrological features like rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
Photos and Media: The App allows you to capture and upload photos as part of your survey responses. These photos may include images of geographical bodies and surrounding areas.
Device Information: We may collect information about your device, such as the device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers, to ensure the App functions properly and to troubleshoot issues.
Usage Data: We collect data about how you interact with the App, such as the surveys you complete and the features you use, to improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes:
Survey Data Collection: Location data and photos are used to document hydrological features accurately, supporting HYDRAA’s mission of resource management and planning for the Telangana State Government.
App Functionality: Your username, password, and device information are used to authenticate your access, ensure the App operates smoothly, and provide technical support when needed.
Analysis and Decision-Making: All submitted data, including location, photos, and survey responses, is transmitted to HYDRAA’s centralized system for analysis and to inform evidence-based decision-making by the Telangana State Government.
Improvement of Services: Usage data helps us understand how the App is used, allowing us to enhance its features and performance.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:
With HYDRAA and Telangana State Government: All survey data, including location, photos, and responses, is shared with HYDRAA and the Telangana State Government for analysis and resource management purposes. This is the primary purpose of the App.
Service Providers: We may share device information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the App, such as cloud hosting providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Pixelvide, HYDRAA, or the public.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data collected through the App, including GPS coordinates and photos, is securely stored and transmitted to HYDRAA’s centralized system using industry-standard encryption protocols. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Review: You can review the survey data you’ve submitted through the App’s interface. For further access to your data, contact your HYDRAA administrator.
Location Permissions: You can disable location services on your device, but this will prevent the App from capturing GPS data, which is essential for its functionality.
Uninstall the App: If you no longer wish to use the App, you can uninstall it to stop all data collection. Note that previously submitted data will remain with HYDRAA for analysis purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Survey data, including location and photos, is stored in HYDRAA’s centralized system and retained according to their data retention policies for resource management and planning.
7. Third-Party Services
The App does not currently integrate with third-party services that collect user data (e.g., analytics or advertising SDKs). If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you accordingly.
8. Children’s Privacy
The HYDRAA Telangana Survey App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
The App is operated in India, and your data is stored and processed in India. If you are using the App from outside India, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
