I was born in Iowa and lived in five other states before moving to Dallas when I was 12. I attended the University of Arkansas, UNT, and graduated from UTD with a degree in literary studies.

This will be my 29th year at Wilson MS and 22nd year as a 6th grade language arts teacher. I have three children. My older daughter lives in Austin with her husband and three children.

My son lives in Plano, and my younger daughter lives in Aubrey with her husband and daughter. During leisure time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and socializing with my friends and family.
