About Me

Howdy, 

I am a Plano graduate, attending Plano schools all 13 years of my public-school career.  I graduated with my IB diploma from PESH in 2010, having spent all of middle and high school involved in technical theatre.  In 2012, I graduated from Texas State San Marcos, and then taught 9th through 12th grade social studies for my first 3 years in Bastrop ISD before coming home. 

I returned to Williams HS in 2016, teaching Geography and History for three years. Since then, I have taught World History, Humanities, and AP European History. I enjoy exploring past civilizations and making modern connections that create deeper understanding for students. And honestly, I just love studying history. In Humanities, I work with my amazing co-teacher, Mrs. Tipton-Smith as we work to push our students towards excellence. 

Going into my 12th year teaching, I am excited to work with parents and students to make this a great year!

A note to Parents: 

All of our students are awesome! It truly amazes me how involved they all are. With a plethora of extracurriculars, our students are high octane and very busy. We do our best to recognize that, be understanding, be flexible, and still hold their feet to the fire when necessary. And we appreciate all the ways that parents support their students, because they truly could not do it without you.

My Interests: Hockey, the Dallas Stars, and other sports, theatre, reading, and camping. 

In addition to those above- I also love travelling. I have been to about half the states and 5 other countries, and I plan to see more of the world in the coming years.
