CAST LIST

To my brave auditioning actors,

Thank you so much for your amazing work in the auditions.  I was so glad to get the chance to see each of you perform. It takes real guts to do what you have done, especially those of you auditioning for the first time.  I am deeply humbled by the bravery and talent I have seen in the past few days.  I hope to be able to work with all of you in at least some capacity in the future.  We will still need hard working and smart techies backstage and an excited audience in the theatre for this show. 

When casting there is so much for a director to consider.  Some students have schedules which keep them from being involved, others were just not the best fit for this specific production. The strict nature of UIL competition rules means that there would not be a way for me to cast everyone I wanted to cast.  The first meeting for students interested in being techies will take place Thursday, March 16th.  Of course EVERYONE is invited and encouraged to come out to our next Drama Club meeting on Thursday, February 23rd.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. A Note about Casting this Specific Play-

Due to the modular nature of our play- "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind" there is no easy way to cast everyone and give them a character name- names change from play to play and in many of the plays your character name will be your own name or a number. I have broken the play down into actor tracks which you will follow throughout the show, playing many parts in many plays. The number reflects the track you will follow. (This will all make more sense after the first read-through).

Cast members! Welcome, we are all in this together and I cannot wait to work with you on this amazing show. Our first rehearsal is Wednesday after school from 3:30-5. Please be prepared to be at that meeting.
