The recently concluded National Scientific Research Innovation Week, organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in collaboration with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, showcased exceptional talent and groundbreaking research in various fields. Among the standout achievements, Ashton Khraven Desiongco and Timothy D. Del Rosario emerged as champions in the Engineering category, demonstrating their innovative contributions that earned them not only the top spot but also a prestigious Qatar Shell special award. Their remarkable work not only exemplifies the dedication to advancing scientific knowledge but also underscores the importance of fostering future leaders in the field. Additionally, recognition was bestowed upon David Andrei Carmona and Alexandra Dominique S. Soledad, who also received the Qatar Shell special award, further emphasizing the significance of their contributions to the realm of scientific research and innovation. The event served as a platform to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these student scientists, reflecting the nation's commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence in research and development.

The Senior Girls of the PISQ debating team showcased their exceptional skills at the 1st Qatar Secondary Schools Debate League 2023 by besting the participating teams from different schools. They garnered 3rd place out of 50 registered institutions for the competition. Furthermore, both teams were placed 7th and 9th out of 70 debate teams. These magnificent achievements indeed pay off their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.  The Senior High School Department is indeed proud for this milestone and whole PISQ as well.

In a remarkable display of mathematical prowess, the PISQ Senior High School Math Whiz team emerged as the undisputed champions in the recent PICE Math Whiz 2023 competition. Their stellar performance resulted in a clean sweep of all top awards, securing the championship, 1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up positions. This incredible achievement showcases their dedication, teamwork, and unyielding passion for mathematics. With a legacy of success, the PISQ Math Whiz team continues to shine as the ultimate Grand Slam winners. Congratulations to these brilliant minds for their astounding victory in the world of numbers!

The Philippine International School Qatar conducted its Parents' Orientation and HRPTA (Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association) Officer Election for the school year 2023-2024 on October 13, 2023. The event commenced with a comprehensive general orientation. Ms. Allin Purification, Prefect of the Discipline, delivered the welcoming address. Ms. Rosalie Francisco, in charge of Developmental Quality Assurance, showcased the school's achievements from the preceding year. Department Heads shared their departmental plans and introduced new programs.

Principal Mr. Jason A. Iyas emphasized the forthcoming mandatory evaluation for private schools. He expounded on the significance of third-party assessments like PASS, RASH, ASEC, and ARC. Mr. Iyas also unveiled the school's strategic initiatives for student welfare and celebrated the school's outstanding 80% victory rate in external contests. Post the general orientation, parents convened with their child's class advisor in individual classrooms. The meetings encouraged open communication between parents, teachers, and the school, providing a platform for concerns to be addressed. Additionally, the election of Homeroom PTA officers took place, ensuring active parental involvement in the school's endeavors.

Georgetown University-Qatar hosted the Fall Model United Nations (MUN) Conference from September 28 to 30, 2023, a pivotal event in global diplomacy. Delegates from diverse schools convened to tackle pressing global issues, refine negotiation skills, and promote diplomacy. Philippine International School-Qatar (PIS-Qatar) sent twelve delegates, spanning Senior and Junior High School levels. At the conference's heartening Open Mic Party, PIS-Qatar's delegates showcased Filipino culture through a captivating fusion of traditional and modern dance. Notably, PIS-Qatar delegates received high honors, underlining the school's dedication to diplomacy training. 

    In a heartwarming celebration of Teachers' Day, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) at PISQ organized a touching program to pay tribute to their dedicated educators. The event featured a heartfelt video tribute to the esteemed faculty, accompanied by a lively song and dance number. The SSG president extended their gratitude through a heartfelt vow of thanks. The principal's inspiring message further lifted spirits, emphasizing the vital role teachers play in shaping young minds. The program reached its pinnacle with the principal awarding the top-notchers of the PISQ daily quiz, adding an extra layer of appreciation for academic excellence.
