On September 15, 2024, the Preschool Department proudly hosted a highly successful Parents' Orientation, emphasizing the theme "Parental involvement is the bedrock of a child’s learning journey, from their first steps to their greatest achievements". The event marked a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the school and parents, a collaboration that is vital to the success of each preschooler’s academic and personal growth.

The orientation began at 3:30 PM with a heartwarming welcome, following the registration of parents. A blend of both online and in-person engagement was adopted to accommodate the preferences of our parent community. While the main part of the program was conducted via Zoom, parents had the opportunity to interact with their children’s class advisers in person, view their children’s activities, and discuss key classroom initiatives.
The program opened with a prayer, followed by the national anthems of the Philippines and the State of Qatar, and the recitation of the school’s vision and mission. The Preschool Department Head emphasized the essential role that parents play in shaping their children’s educational journey. She introduced the key features of the Matatag curriculum for Kindergarten 2, while reassuring Kindergarten 1 parents that their children’s program is aligned with these goals, ensuring a smooth transition to the next stages of learning.
School Principal, Mr. Jason A. Iyas, delivered an engaging presentation on the school’s progress and achievements, highlighting the invaluable role that parents play in the school’s growth. He expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and attendance, which reached 99.19%, and outlined the school’s forward-looking plans to ensure continuous improvement.
Following the main presentation, key personnel from various departments, including the Registrar’s Office, Prefect of Discipline, First Aid Unit, Guidance Office, and Library, presented their roles and services, giving parents a comprehensive understanding of how the school operates to support their children's holistic development.
After the online session, the teachers took over for a face to face discussions. These sessions covered essential topics such as classroom expectations, discipline plans, school policies, assessment methods, and the communication channels available to ensure seamless interaction between home and school. Parents also had the opportunity to elect Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association officers, fostering deeper engagement within the school community.
The orientation concluded with a renewed sense of collaboration and shared responsibility. Parents left the event not only informed but also empowered, knowing how crucial their involvement is in their child's educational success. The feedback and suggestions from parents will serve as a foundation for future initiatives, aimed at enhancing the school-parent partnership even further.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to fostering an environment where parents and the school work hand-in-hand to nurture the potential of each preschooler, ensuring that every step they take on their learning journey is supported by a strong and unified team.
