Students are required to use https://www.usatestprep.com to prepare for testing in Science and Social Studies. Students will be able to use computers at school but will also need to complete assessments at home to make sure they are completing a minimum of two per week.

5th Grade PCA Parent/ Guardian,

Your fifth grader will begin to study recorders during their weekly music class, starting January 21st. I have some recorders here available at school for students to play but not enough for every student. So If able, please purchase a recorder for your child. They are available on amazon.com and at the Shelby Music Center. They range from about $3-$15.

All students will need a gallon size ziplock bag to store their recorder in. Donations of gallon baggies are greatly appreciated in the case of a broken/torn bag. Our students health is very important and we want to store the instruments in a sanitary fashion. If a student does not have a zip lock bag or sanitary way to store their instrument, they cannot use a recorder.

Please send in your child's recorder in a gallon bag with their name on it as soon as you can. We will begin playing recorders on January 21st so I will need all recorders in my music room before then.

Musically,

Ms. Katie Duncan
