SPORTS NEWS TODAY: Track Meet at Mendon at 3:30.
There will be a brief meeting down in the cafeteria during team time today, April 17 th , for
any current 6th and 7th grade boy interested in playing junior high baseball next fall.
School Picture Order forms are Due today.
Current 8th graders interested in applying to be a member of the PHS Student
Council applications have been sent to your school email address. Any current 8th
grader is welcome to apply. Please complete all of the questions on the google form
and submit online by April 19th. There are also paper copies of the application
located in the office. If you choose to fill out a paper form please have this
completed and returned to the PCS office by April 19th. If you have any questions

Tryouts for next year's PHS Marching Band Flags will be April 30th, May 1st and 3rd. Please
see Mr. Bangert if you are interested in auditioning.
Attention: All current 6th and 7th grade band members. Drum major practice will be Tuesday,
April 16 and Wednesday, April 17 during team time. Tryouts will be held during team time on
Thursday, April 18. Please see Mrs. Bangert for any questions.

Homework Headquarters 3:30pm-4:30 pm and open to ALL D-pod students. Those who
need a quiet place to do their assignments, would like to have help with their assignments,
or just want to get the majority of the work done before they go home are encouraged to

Pittsfield High School History Club is having a Trivia Night on Friday, May 3 at 7:00 at PCS to
raise money for the New Philadelphia Association. Registration forms are in the main office.

PHS Drama Grocery Giveaway fundraiser is in full swing! Get your tickets from any
Drama participant or by contacting Christie Mendenhall 217-491-3522.
$10 for a chance for TWO minutes of shopping at County Market. Drawing to be
held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Shopping day will be Monday, April 22 at 9
PHS Drama workers needed to sell the Grocery Giveaway tickets. Contact Christie
Mendenhall at 217-491-3522 to get some tickets to sell. Also need ticket sellers to work
the table at County Market. Friday, April 12 4-6; Saturday April 13 9-11:30 and 11:30 –
2; Friday, April 19 4-6; Saturday, April 20 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, and 3-5. Drawing is at 5 by
Miss Pittsfield, Madyson Lash. We will also need a few to work on the 22 nd during the
shopping spree. Let Christie know right away what dates/times you can work.
