1. If you are using a USB mouse, disconnect the mouse cable and then reconnect to a different USB port. If the mouse is connected to a USB hub, unplug the mouse cable and then connect it to another USB port in your laptop.

Outdated Mouse software

There is likely a driver or software conflict

1. Open Windows Device Manager by pressing on the keyboard Windows + R and type in devmgmt.msc

2. Expand the mouse (mice) option in Device Manager by clicking the + symbol.

3. Highlight the mouse driver and right click > Update driver
