Tensions and possibilities in our communities

Journalists for the Carver Times live with complex tensions and constantly seek to uncover possibilities in their communities. In the liner notes for the 1997 edition of Giant Steps, Jazz critic Nathan "Nat" Hentoff explains this journey as one very familiar to jazz musician John Coltrane. "John Coltrane committed his very existence to continually searching for more possibilities in his music—and therefore, in himself. After all, he once told me, 'The music is the whole question of life itself.'"

What tensions do you experience? What are you doing to search for the possibilities?
