Tik Tok Ban

Former President Donald Trump had attempted to ban TikTok back in 2020 through an executive order, which led to a potential ban that failed. Presidents are continuing to try to  put an end to TikTok in the year 2024. President Bidghen signed the law, “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Application Act,” which forced TikTok sales. It is said that the creator of TikTok has potential access to user’s data, which is believed that they’re spying on thousands of innocent people. What is your opinion on this political decision? 

I do not have a heartfelt opinion about this specific topic as many apps provide similar features and entertainment such as YouTube shorts and Instagram reels. Not that I don’t mind, I prefer TikTok to stay as it is since it’s a source of entertainment for many individuals. Statistically speaking, TikTok is one of the most used apps which gives many stars their popularity. Popular brands and influencers rely on TikTok for income as it’s a way to promote and showcase their creativity to gain more attention. I believe there are even more important causes in the world that they should be focusing more on instead of banning something many civilians enjoy. 

As we know, TikTok has a big importance in entertainment around the world. It benefits not only in entertainment but as a source of income for others. Many people who can’t get a job  publicize their skills and opinions which help themselves to create income. TikTok is a beneficial app that can be helpful if used in the right way.
