J-Movie Recommendation: Our Secret Diary  

Have you ever considered the idea of having a hidden journal? Well, there's this popular Japanese film called Our Secret Diary that has been making waves lately. It was released in July 2023 and has been capturing the hearts of many viewers.  One of the main conflicts of this movie is that the female main lead Kuroda couldn’t express her true love for Setoyama which leads to  Setoyama mistaking Kuroda with another girl but later on he discovers that it was actually Kuroda who he was exchanging the notebook with but he decides to pretend he had no clue to get closer with her, since at first he wasn’t sure who was the one that wrote an encouraging note on his desk that later he finds to help him get through a tough time. Then he finds out it was Kuroda rather than her friend whom he mistakenly believed was the one who wrote the note. The story revolves around Nozomi Kuroda, the female lead character, who reveals her feelings for the most popular boy in school, Jun Setoyama. Despite feeling embarrassed and confused, they start a secret exchange diary by leaving their replies in a music box.

If you enjoy romance and drama, this movie is a must-watch. Although it is two hours long, it tells a beautiful story. I highly suggest checking it out as it's a sweet love story that will leave you feeling satisfied with a heartfelt ending. The novel really makes you reflect on the importance of being our true selves to others.
