Is It Getting Hot in Here or Is It Just Me?

Hunting Park is a neighborhood located in the North Philadelphia section. For a while now, Hunting Park has been having a heat problem and other general issues. The Park is known for its low-economic status, having low income, and support. The biggest problem they are currently having is trying to get over the major heat, which gets especially hot in the summer.
Unrelated to the main topic, people in Hunting Park are having a tough time trying to pay their electrical bills. Kindly enough, a community church called The One Hope is helping civilians pay their electric bills with the power of clean energy. The church checked and confirmed it does not go against Community Solar Rules. With that being said, The One Hope Community Church has officially gone green, using solar panels to not only power themselves, but other housings in need. People are having less of a hard time worrying about needing to pay a lot for their electricity.
Hunting Park, as some may know, is a neighborhood with a heat problem. One of their solutions is to provide the people with air-conditioning for each housing. The committee of Hunting Park mustered up courage to do a crowdfunding in order to provide everyone with cold air in their home. Some people already resorted to staying indoors to get away from the heat. We interviewed a Furness student to ask his opinion prior to what he would do if he lived in Hunting Park, “I would stay indoors,” Campbell once said during the interview. Vague but straightforward answer. Unrelated to the problem Campbell answered, “I’m good” in response to whether or not he would visit Hunting Park. Preferably because he does not want to leave his area.
Another solution towards Hunting Park’s heat problem was applying a coating towards the roads. The roads being made of asphalt and concrete are absorbing a large amount of sun heat, which causes the surface temperature to skyrocket. The temperature can reach more than 20 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than green areas. CoolSeal, a product developed by GuardTop (known for its high-performance asphalt seal coating products) is the primary use of coating for the roads in Hunting Park in order to prevent less heat absorption.
Hunting Park is still primarily known for its troubles with the heat, even if we apply these differences towards the problem. We don't know if they’ll help until summer hits us once again. If the problem still stands, they’ll have to find more solutions, which means going back to the drawing board.
