Eireen’s Sweet 17

Turning 17 is the start of a new milestone–transitioning from childhood to young adulthood. 17 is a big number, especially for someone who can’t imagine growing up. It was both exciting and extremely nerve-racking for Eireen. It’s as if we’re getting closer to our destined future.

March 4, 2025

It was her official birthday when she finally turned 17. During those last minutes before she turned 17, she called up her friend for advice; afraid of growing up, her friend consoled her. She has always stood by the same passion from when she was young–nails. She’s now a step closer to becoming a nail technician, maybe running her own nail business, and majoring in cosmetology. Her future awaits. 

March 8, 2025

It was her official birthday party, surrounded by the people she loves. It was on the Philadelphia cruise, about 20 guests were invited, including her friends and family. The cruise featured a free buffet with a variety of dishes: Steak, pasta, salad, pork, chicken, and more. As the day went on, laughter filled the room as we exchanged gifts and conversation. When our song started playing, everyone gathered on the dance floor, singing and dancing, enjoying the moment. Pictures were taken, TikToks were made, and so were memories. 

Before we set out on our last goodbyes until we head back to school on Monday, we had a red velvet cake, shared amongst the 20 guests. Everyone then split off one by one, thanking Eireen and her family for inviting them and creating a memorable moment.
