Being a pastor's kid, it is hard to say where in Georgia I am from. I graduated from Rome High School and went to Jacksonville State University to pursue a degree in music education. I met my wife, Jessica, in a music theory class there. I transferred to Georgia State University and changed my major to Jazz Studies. I graduated in 2013 and continued to work as a professional musician until God made clear that music was my plan, not His. I worked as a worship leader as I completed seminary at Candler School of Theology. I graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 2018 and was appointed here at Philadelphia UMC July 1, 2018. Jess, Jacob (6), Henrietta (3), and I are proud to be Philadelphians.
