My name is Amber Ellert. I have been a part of the Prairie Heights district for a number of years. 2025-2026 is my 10th full year of teaching. I graduated from Angola High School in 2005. I started my college career at IPFW (now PFW) and then transferred to Ball State to complete my degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. After working in the district as the full time sub, I applied for my current position. I love being a part of the PHHS family and am looking forward to many more years to come!
I have 4 of my own little ones at home. My daughter, Nevaeh, is headed to high school! My middle son, Adam, is a 6th grader, my youngest son, Dax, is finishing up elementary in 4th grade and my youngest, Ayzleigh is so excited to start Kindergarten! My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 16 years but have been together since high school. He teaches 2nd grade at Prairie Heights Elementary.
In our free time, we enjoy spending time with our children, watching them do athletics, and directing Prairie Heights middle school theatre.
Your child may also have the following special education staff as their Teacher of Record or as support in their class.
