Miranda Wetie is completing her Senior year at Northwestern High School in the Jim Henson Visual and Performing Arts Academy. Miranda has had the opportunity to perform in each winter and spring dance concert, the Prince George's County Public Schools Dance Showcase, and Student Choreography Showcase. During her training, she participated in the Light Switch Dance Theater Summer Intensive in 2021. She earned an award for her PGCPS Student Choreography showcase piece for her choreographic excellence in NHSDA. Her works have been showcased in the winter concert 2022: Into the Light. She was inducted into the National Honors Society in Dance Arts (NHSDA) in 2021, as well as the academic National Honors Society. Miranda balances her work in the engineering program, Project Lead The Way, NHS Track, NHS Volleyball, as well as dual enrollment courses at PGCC and dance. She plans on attending college and majoring in Pre-Med to become an OB-GYN.
