Adding copies

Adding copies to Destiny

1. Destiny >Login as admin> Catalog > Number tab

2. Make sure it says ISBN in the FIND box

3. Change Location from your school to Prince George's County Public Schools

4. Type in the ISBN or scan it.  (If you get multiple hits, click on the title of the best record, or the one with the most copies in the system...)  Hit Go!

5. Click on ADD COPIES

6. Select Assign next barcode

7. Type in the call number.  Destiny puts in the Dewey number assigned by the Library of Congress. 

   1. Remove brackets from [E] or [FIC]

   2. If it's a long decimal number, we truncate at the first break (delete up to /)

   3. Put a space and add the first three letters of the author's last name

8. Add purchase price.  $20 for a paperback;  $25 for a hardback

9. Select Circulation Type BOOK

10. Click on Save Copies.

To Request Addition of Titles Not Found in the Database:

Fill out this cataloging form to request the addition of copies that have not yet been added to the overall Destiny database.
