Testing into the Programs
Entrance into our lottery programs occurs at Kindergarten and exclusively through the lottery. If spots become available in grades 1-12, we test students to determine eligibility to enter our programs at higher grades.

Testing Information
An online application for each student candidate must be filled out by March 15 of the year before they want to enter an Immersion Program lottery school.
Testing occurs between April and June.
If any spots remain available after the initial testing session, a late testing application will be available for those grades/schools that have spaces and must be completed by June 30.
If more students pass the test than we have available seats for a lottery will occur for all eligible candidates and spots will be awarded through that lottery.
In order to be considered eligible for a late entry spot in the Immersion programs lottery-based schools, students must demonstrate on-grade-level proficiency in Math and Reading in the Immersion language of the school and they must also demonstrate on-grade-level proficiency in Reading in English.
The French Immersion programs services all grade K-12.
The Spanish Immersion programs are only K-10 for school year 2024-2025. The Spanish Immersion Programs are newer programs to Prince George's County Public Schools and are adding an additional grade level every year.
