Green Valley Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Head Golf Professional to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of daily golf operations, tournament programming, member instruction, and merchandising. This position reports directly to our long-tenured Director of Golf, who has been with the Club for over 34 years and is transitioning into an advisory role. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a leadership role and help shape the next chapter of golf at Green Valley.

Title: Head Golf Professional
Reports to: Director of Golf
Supervises: PGA professional assistants, shop staff and outside services staff
Position Description: The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the successful daily operation of the golf shop, supervision of professional and outside services staff, merchandising operations, and the planning and execution of instructional and tournament programming. This role is highly visible and member-facing, requiring a combination of professional leadership, teaching ability, and strong customer service.
Lead all daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, opening/closing procedures, and member service standards
Oversee planning and execution of a full calendar of Club tournaments and golf events in collaboration with the Director of Golf
Develop and lead engaging instructional programs, including private lessons, clinics, women’s programs, and short-game schools
Build and grow junior golf offerings and summer camps that are fun, educational, and welcoming
Take full ownership of all merchandising operations: vendor relationships, inventory control, product selection, and displays
Recruit, train, and manage golf shop and outside services staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and hospitality
Maintain a strong, visible presence around the Club to build member relationships and enhance the overall golf experience
Assist with budgeting and financial oversight as needed with plans to take greater ownership of this key area in future years/seasons
Including, but not limited to, the following:
PGA Class A Membership required
3–5 years of experience as a Head or Lead Assistant Golf Professional in a private club setting
Demonstrated success in instruction, junior golf development, tournament operations, and retail merchandising
Technologically proficient in POS systems, tee sheet management, tournament software, and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and leadership skills with an approachable, member-focused personality
The club will provide a compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes but is not limited to:
Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
PGA Membership Dues fully covered
Comprehensive compensation package including 401(k) with Club match
Club-funded pre-approved education, conferences, and tournament participation
Opportunity to grow under the mentorship of a PGA Director of Golf with over three decades of service at the Club
