Established in 1892 as a hunt club and golf was introduced in 1895

Course was originally designed by Donald Ross in 1909. In 1923 Alison, Colt & McKenzie redesigned and later renovated in 1997 by Arthur Hills
Par 70 course playing 6,900 yards from the back tee.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Job Structure
Position Title: Assistant Golf Professional
Department: Golf Operations
Reports to: Adam Hemeon, PGA
Position Type: Year - Round
General Purpose: Assist the Head Golf Professional with all Golf Operations activities. Responsible for supervising and managing the total golf operation in absence of the Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to provide “world class” service to all members and guests.

Candidates must be a highly motivated, hardworking and a team player. Qualified applicants must be service-oriented, possess exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, energy and self-confidence and display a genuine attitude towards people.
Our goal is to develop a program that will allow you to flourish as an assistant golf professional at our facility and give you the opportunity for career advancement.
In order to achieve career success, each member of the professional staff will receive specific responsibilities in various parts of the operation. Responsibilities will then rotate year over year to ensure an assistant golf professional has been exposed to all areas of a successful operation and are fully prepared to become a head golf professional.

Kelly LaDow- Head Professional at Rumson CC (2020)
Chris Peel- Head Professional at Northeast Harbor Club (2021)
Chris Concannon- Head Professional at Oyster Harbors Club (2021)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College Degree Preferred
PGA Class A Member in good standing or PGA Associate currently enrolled in Level 3, or PGA Associate with a desire to further their career and become a Head Golf Professional
A graduate from an accredited PGA Golf Management Program is desired.
Experience at a high-end private club or resort preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of golf course management and operation practices and procedures
Professional knowledge of the standards techniques of playing and teaching golf
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to initiate, develop, and grow programs
Ability to motivate and promote a team culture
COMPENSATION
Total Anticipated Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000. Details will be shared with qualified candidates
