Reading Testing

Second graders complete the TPRI (Texas Primary Reading Inventory) three times a year. The TPRI includes:

• Spelling

• Word Reading (reading words in isolation)

• Fluency & Accuracy (reading a passage)

• Comprehension (answering questions about a passage)

*Students might also take the Star Reading Test, which is similar to the Star Math test and/or the Star Early Literacy Test.
