Wize Up Financial Training

Wize Up Financial Education came in and provided our students with financial skills they will be needing in the future. They covered a range of topics Apprenticeships | Budgeting | Credit Cards | Credit Ratings | Crypto Currencies | CV Writing | Flat Sharing | Gap Years | General Taxation | Interview Techniques | Pensions | Saving & Investing | Setting up a Business | Student Finance

The training has been mainly funded by the Petchey Foundation.

Aamir and Usman Ahmed achieved maximum scores with three more students only dropping one mark. The average score was 68%.

Well done to all the students who are now one step closer to a bright future!

Thank you Wize Up Financial Education and Jack Petchey Foundation

Happy Lunar New Year! 🐯

To celebrate the year of the Tiger, all of our Mandarin-language students have been learning the art of Chinese paper cutting, and every student has been gifted traditional red envelopes containing their unique names translated into Chinese. Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Speak Out Challenge

The annual Jack Petchey Speak Out Competition began with our Year 10 students.

This is an expert led, interactive workshop which last the whole day.

By the end of the workshop every student delivered a speech they have created from scratch to their peers and a small panel of judges, who then selected top-quality speeches for the next round of the competition.

The Year 7 Basketball team just won both of their games in their tournament at Oaklands School.

They beat Central Foundation Boys School 8 - 0

They beat Oaklands School 10 - 6

The U14 basketball team won their game against Cardinal Pole!

This puts them through to the next round of the Basketball England Tournament. The team are now unbeaten in the last 3 games , also winning against the City Academy and Skinners before Christmas. #winners

After a wasteful first half in front of goal where they should have been 3-0 up, we entered the final five minutes 2-0 down. Super-sub Ronald scored two goals to take the game to penalties and Mayowa continued his excellent penalty saving form for us to win 3-1.

Fantastic win by year 9 boys in the Inner London cup. They battled all the way through to narrowly beat Fulham boys 5-4. Bradley scoring the winner in extra time. Man of the match was Dakari. Well done boys!!
