Coverage & Fees
Protection Plan and Fees
Families are required to purchase a non-refundable $40 yearly fee for each Chromebook per school year to supply the family with Chromebook protection. In order to be cost conscious for families with multiple students in a household, only two students in the household will be charged the yearly fee. The insurance plan will be reduced to $15 per year for each Chromebook for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
What does the Chromebook Annual Fee Cover?
Unintentional spilled liquid damage
Unintentional breakage, drops or falls
Missing keyboard keys.
Chromebooks that are accidentally damaged while in the custody of the student will be repaired once annually at no cost to the parent/guardian.
All additional repairs will be at the student’s and parent/guardian expense.
In the event that the Chromebook is lost or stolen while in the custody of the student, the student and parent/guardian agree that they are responsible to the School District for the entire replacement cost.
How to Pay for your Annual Chromebook Fee:
You may pay your Chromebook fee online through the district’s PowerSchool Parent Portal. Contact the main office for students in Grades 1 through 5, or the Guidance office for students in Grades 6 through 12 for assistance accessing the Parent Portal. Please note: Fees are not available through the PowerSchool mobile app.
Please reach out to your student’s Guidance Counselor for assistance if you are unable to pay via credit card or echeck through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
PowerSchool portal is the most secure and accurate method for making payments and the recommended method of payment. However, in the event that you are unable to make an online payment, cash or a check or money order made out to Pennsbury School District will be accepted at each student's individual school. Please do not bulk payments for students that are not in the same school building.
