Grow Your Math Skills With Khan Academy

Did you know according to a paper published by NWEA, an educational research organization, students could potentially see a 50% decline in their math performance due to the interruptions caused by the Covid pandemic? Many of you have worked to provide educational opportunities for your children over the summer. We want to share an additional resource that can help provide your child with the opportunities to strengthen their math skills not only to prevent the "Covid Slide" but also make the most of the upcoming 2020/2021 school year. Here's how:

Khan Academy, a free educational resource, has created math courses that include the math skills most necessary for students entering each grade level. Students can create an account for free and spend 15-20 minutes daily both learning and practicing skills that will serve as the foundation for their upcoming school year. Each course includes not only practice questions but also videos, texts, and hints to help provide support for your child as they work towards mastery.

Below you will find a series of resources for creating an account and for how your child can access the course for their specific grade level. Finally, if you have any questions or struggle in creating an account or accessing the content, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Bodde at richard.bodde@pennmanor.net.
