Parent survey feedback
Thank you to all of the parents who completed the Trust parent survey. It was really positive overall and we wanted to share with you all the positives that had been recognised and what we will do moving forward in relation to anything you felt we needed to improve on.
Feedback to questions:
95% of parents agree that their children are happy attending school, and 90% feel they are safe.
92% of parents feel their child can take part in clubs and activities.
87% of parents recognise the school’s high expectations for their children.
90% of parents feel the school manages behavior effectively, suggesting that the "Disruption Free Learning" policy is well-embedded and visible to parents.
Parents all feel that they have a good awareness of online safety and how to keep their children safe online.
80% of parents said that they would recommend this school to others.
What we will do to improve:
Parents commented about wanting to know more about where their children are at within their learning throughout the year. We will look at doing short interim reports ion MCAS that give you an indication of whether your child is on track for Expected in their year group in the core subjects of maths, writing and reading.
Parents asked for more transparency around decision making. We will look at creating parent meeting groups to gage more parent voice. Parents who attended the meetings around our PYP reevaluation were really positive about having the chance to share their thoughts on the curriculum and what their children are learning in school.
We also wanted to share some of the lovely comments we received from parents who completed the survey;
"I am very happy with how my child is treated within the school and made to feel so comfortable if and when she isn’t sure about her school work and confidence within herself completing something. She continues to thrive and feels supported if and when she needs it. Thank you for all you are doing to continue to support her needs and learning."
"Overall I am happy with the school. I find the staff helpful and polite and there are a wide range of activities for my children to take part in."
"I really love how the school brings everyone together and creates such a strong sense of community. The children have a genuine pupil voice, and it’s clear that they are listened to and valued. The range of free after-school clubs is fantastic and gives all children the opportunity to explore their interests. Throughout the year, the school also provides so many fun and enriching activities that complement learning and make school an exciting, positive place to be."
"Thank you to all the school team for supporting my daughter. She is happy going to school every day, giving it all her best and that really matters to me. This clearly shows how the teachers are dedicated to supporting my daughter. Thank you again for all you do!"
Careers Fair 2026
We celebrated yet another successful career fair for our children, supported by many parents and local businesses. Our younger children were treated to a visit from Suez, who are local rubbish disposal teams and they shared about how they recycle items of our rubbish, providing an interactive workshop for the children. Our Key stage 2 children were able to visit a range of stalls in the hall showcasing a variety of different careers, including;
NHS roles
Kent Police
Local farming and nature trail experts
How to run and create your own business?
Graphic designers
The children always come away feeling that they have had a range of questions about the different careers answered and reflecting on their interest and skills that might impact them in the future.
Thank you so much to Ms Gordon for organising this for the school and to all of the companies and parents that supported us by attending.
LAPEs Got Talent show winners
