Pender County Schools offers after school programs for students in grades K-5.

PACES, a fee for service after school care program, serves students in grades K-5. 21st Century Community Learning Centers, a federally funded program, provides after school tutoring and academic enrichment services for eligible students in grades 2-5 at Title I elementary schools.

PACES After School Program

    • Operates from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.
    • Homework/Quiet Hour
    • Recreational Activities
    • Academic Enrichment
    • Nutritious Snacks
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Character Education
    • Activities based on student interest

PACES is a fee-based program serving students in grades K-5 at the following locations:

    • Burgaw Elementary
    • Cape Fear Elementary
    • Malpass Corner Elementary
    • North Topsail Elementary
    • Surf City Elementary
    • South Topsail Elementary
    • Topsail Elementary

21st Century Community Learning Centers

The 21st Century Program is funded through a federal grant and provides services to eligible students at the following locations:
