Emily Nichols

My art is something that has always been a source of expression and creativity. To me, letting inspiration be my guide rather than a certain message, unless I want it to be a powerful piece,  is important. My desire is for exploration and inspiration for not only me, but for others viewing it. I want to inspire artists to have fun, explore styles and techniques along with not feeling pressured. My art as a final result will always have mistakes and things I can improve on, but I often leave some there as a way of showing that it’s okay to focus on the journey of making art rather than the final product. Make mistakes, explore and challenge yourself. It’s what makes a great artist to me.
