ARE YOU AN INDEPENDENT STUDENT AS PER THE BELOW DEFINITION? 

An independent student is 16-17 years of age and does not live at the same address as their parent or legal guardian. 

They are typically responsible for their own housing, finances, and life decisions. 

An independent student must ordinarily reside in Alberta and have a parent who resides in Canada, as indicated in Alberta Education's Funding Manual for School Authorities.

Independent students may register with the Pembina Hills School Division without parental consent, however, they will be required to sign an Independent Student Declaration Form prior to enrollment.
