What is Edgenuity / Courseware?

Courseware is a full suite of core curriculum, AP, honors, and elective courses for middle and high school students created by Edgenuity. Pelham Park Middle School and Pelham High School will be utilizing this platform for all three student learning options for the 2020-2021 school year. The online courses and curriculum are built using an instructional model grounded in research and are aligned to state standards, the Common Core, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Courses combine direct-instruction videos featuring expert, on-screen teachers with rigorous assignments, performance tasks, and assessments to engage students and ensure subject mastery.

Courseware es un conjunto completo de currículo básico, AP, cursos de honores y cursos electivos para estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria creado por Edgenuity. Pelham Park Middle School y Pelham High School utilizarán esta plataforma para las tres opciones de aprendizaje de los estudiantes para el año escolar 2020-2021. Los cursos y el plan de estudios en línea se construyen utilizando un modelo de instrucción basado en la investigación y están alineados con los estándares estatales, los Estándares Comunes y los Estándares de Ciencias de la Próxima Generación (NGSS). Los cursos combinan videos de instrucción directa con maestros expertos en pantalla con asignaciones rigurosas, tareas de desempeño y evaluaciones para involucrar a los estudiantes y garantizar el dominio de la materia.
