Arika Baria-Garcia

Parent, Lowell High School

"Arika is a woman of color who speaks her mind and fights for change and diversity. In her life, she made herself who and what she is by herself. She is the most strong independent woman I know."

Arika Baria-Garcia has worked for Wells Fargo for almost 13 years. She began her career as a teller in Merced, California and began working for the San Francisco Private Bank office in 2008. She is now a Business Support Consultant for the National Wealth Planning Group. Since joining Wells Fargo, she has lead various volunteer groups from serving food at Glide, maintaining the beauty of San Francisco’s National Parks and packing food at the SF Food Bank. She has also lead fundraising efforts for Wells Fargo’s annual Community Support Campaign with a focus on supporting women of color, as well as youth development & education for marginalized communities. Arika also leads the California & Nevada Wealth Management Diversity & Inclusion Connection Team-–leading impactful initiatives to increase diversity and inclusion across the enterprise.

Arika lives in San Francisco with her husband Robert and her daughter Emi, who attends Lowell High School.

"I want to build a world that is free from prejudice and hate. I want to build a world that not only embraces our cultural differences, but celebrates them. I believe that it is through our young adults that we can accomplish this. I have spent my time creating events and initiatives to inspire diversity and inclusion. During our annual Community Support Campaign in 2018 I highlighted Peer Resources as a non-profit to support, because I believe that their innovative human equity efforts are key to the success of our future."
