We are looking forward to the 2026 Year 6 Outdoor Education Experience at Roonka River Adventure Park, Blanchetown in the Riverland, from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th October (Term 4, Week 1).
The Year 6 Murray Adventure program has been created to give students the first taste of an inland aquatic environment and begin to foster an appreciation for the natural beauty, its connection to our lifestyle and the amazing creatures which call it home. Students will develop hard skills in canoeing, raft building and fishing enabling them to engage more interactively with the environment. These experiences will present students with the opportunities to create new bonds with their peers, encourage active participation within a small group and develop responsibility and resilience; by taking ownership of their decisions.
Positive engagement is a key component of the program, with challenges designed to complement their personal development within the classroom. Emphasis is placed on students to make positive choices and allow themselves every opportunity to test their resilience, cooperation, independence and take responsibility for their actions.
The registration for your child’s participation in the Year 6 Outdoor Experience needs to be completed by Monday 14th September (Week 9, Term 3).
