Choir to Young Voices, Birmingham
This week we are choosing our Pupil Voice representatives. Every child has the opportunity to represent their class as the Class Rep. These reps then join together to form the Pupil Voice team, led by Mrs Dallimore. The Pupil Voice team takes ideas and thoughts from their class to these meetings and then decide on how they can bring about positive change for our school. If your child is interested in putting themselves forward for this opportunity, they will need to prepare a short statement to share with their class on Friday. All classes will vote on Friday and our new Pupil Voice Team will be announced on Monday next week. Democracy in action!
Clubs update
All our after school clubs start this week.
Choir
Many apologies about the confusing information about choirs. There are two choirs - a Junior Choir and a Senior Choir.
Junior Choir is for children in Years 1, 2 and 3. This takes place on Tuesdays after school.
Senior Choir is for children in Years 4, 5 and 6. This takes place on Thursdays after school.
There are spaces in the following clubs:
Fine Motor Skills Club (Y1/2 Thursday after school)
A fun and engaging club designed to help children develop their fine motor skills through a range of creative and hands-on activities. Children will have opportunities to strengthen their hand muscles, improve pencil control, develop coordination and build confidence through activities such as threading, cutting, drawing, modelling and construction.
Photography Club (Y5/6 Thursday after school)
We have been lucky enough to have some digital cameras donated to the school for us to explore the exciting art of photography. Come along to photography club and enjoy learning how to take effective photos using perspective, focus and composition. We'll get outside and enjoy capturing nature at its most beautiful as the seasons change!
Reminders
Bags and Cloakrooms
Our cloakrooms are not huge and the space between each child's peg is only about 10cm. If your child uses a large rucksack each day, they will be struggling to make it fit. Where at all possible we ask that children use a smaller, drawstring bag or similar instead of a larger rucksack. Drawstring bags are available from the school office.
Toys
Please do not send your child to school with toys from home, including fidgets.
Class News
Find out what we have been up to on our class pages and on Face Book.
Home Learning
Home learning is designed to enable children to practice skills they will need in school and so it is really important that they spend some time over the week on this home learning.

Evo Sports at PSJ
To help us provide a consistent, well-organised and enjoyable experience for all students, we have introduced some updates to our After-School Club booking policy.
Sports Clubs – Termly Commitment
Sports clubs must be booked for the full term. This allows us to maintain consistent groups each week and plan appropriate drills, activities and competitions knowing which students will be attending. Regular attendance also helps students develop their skills and make progress throughout the term.
After-School Club – Daily Bookings
Bookings for After-School Club can be made up until 12:00pm on the day of the club. This gives us sufficient time to organise staffing and attendance lists.
Any booking made after 12:00pm must be arranged by contacting the school office by telephone. Parents will need to confirm their acceptance of the applicable payment terms when making a late booking.
Bookings Made by Staff
Evo Sports staff will no longer be able to add children to After-School Club bookings directly.
This change has been introduced to ensure that there is a clear and consistent process for all bookings and payments. Unfortunately, there have been occasions where childcare fees have remained unpaid, particularly when bookings have been made directly by staff. Moving all late bookings through the school office will help us maintain accurate records and ensure that payment arrangements are clear to everyone.
We appreciate parents' support in following these procedures. These changes will help us to provide a more consistent service, plan our clubs effectively and ensure that the administration of bookings and payments is managed fairly for all families.
Thank you for your continued support,
The Evo Sports Team
Evo Clubs
Evo Sports clubs will officially be starting back this week. There is still availability so please sign your children up via the Evo Sports’ booking system.

On Tuesday we have our brilliant football club for the younger children from Year 1, 2 and 3.
On Wednesdays we have our awesome Nerf club with Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
After School Club
Well, it would have been Road Dahl’s birthday this week so what better way to celebrate than to create dream jars and dream catchers. Children brought in their own dream jars so all we needed to do was create the magic to go in them. And just for good measure we created dream catchers so we can all sleep peacefully and be ready for school on time from now on :) We have added some photos of our creations below.
