Students in Spanish III class apply their knowledge that they previously learned in their Spanish I and Spanish II classes. Students continue to add vocabulary and grammatical processes in order to communicate by writing, listening, and speaking. Because a foundation of the language has been established, Spanish III students will explore poetry, novels, and videos in Spanish, as well as create their own original projects. The students will celebrate Día de los Muertos with a special Spanish III celebration and will sing songs in Spanish in the school hallways to celebrate la Navidad. In the past, Spanish III students have traveled to CES in order to teach some basic Spanish to students in second grade. We hope to continue that tradition! We also hope to work with the advanced video class to produce original videos in Spanish. Of course, a fiesta with food will be thrown in now and then. :)
