The Hawthorne Legacy is the second book in the Inheritance Games trilogy. It can also be read as a standalone. In The Hawthorne Legacy, which takes place a week after The Inheritance Games, the main character Avery Grambs, continues to investigate why she inherited Tobias Hawthorne's fortune.
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson takes place in the small town of Fairview, Connecticut. The main character, Pippa Fitz-Amobi, chooses to investigate the disappearance and murder of Andie Bell as her senior year capstone project. When Andie Bell was supposedly murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, no one questioned it, especially after he allegedly killed himself. While re-investigating the case, she contacts many of the people mentioned in the case files and uses new evidence to try to prove him innocent.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a dystopian novel that follows Katniss Everdeen. near the start of the book, Katniss volunteers as a tribute to go to the games instead of her sister. Throughout the book, she's faced with many challenges so she can survive the games.
Jude was seven years old when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were kidnapped and taken to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, despite her not being one of them, Jude wants nothing more than to be accepted by the others. As she grows up, she is tormented by fairies until she tries to overthrow the High Court and the crown.
