Antonio Avila Cardona

Associate of Finance

My name is Antonio Avila, and I am currently a Junior at Portland State University studying Accounting. My role within SLMA is that of an Associate of Finance. 

I decided to join SLMA because I wanted to gain valuable experience working with a team in the finance/accounting field. Additionally, I've been wanting to get more involved on campus, and joining SLMA would be a great fit for me.

A career goal I have is to join an accounting firm that I admire as an Intern, then move to an upper-level position within that company, gaining valuable work skills and experience. I also look forward to attaining a CPA license in the future. I've just joined SLMA this Fall 2025 term, but so far it has shown me how to better work and communicate as a team, and has supplied me with opportunities to network.
