The Student Sustainability Center is an accessible hub that empowers students to become intersectional sustainability leaders by providing experiential learning opportunities and resources.
Each year SSC offers the opportunity for student volunteers and leadership fellows to be nominated for awards specific to the Sustainability Volunteer Program. Award recipients are selected by a committee of SSC student employees.
Busy Bee - A student who has demonstrated sustained commitment throughout their time at SSC

Common Purpose - A student who works to create shared values and vision within their team. They help develop trust in order to create collaboration and the group's success.

Creative Calling - A student who advocates for the sustainability movement through their creative process.
Winner: Natalie Kosmos
Global Steward - A student inspired to create global change who considers sustainability issues outside of the PSU community.
Winner: Giang Nguyen
Seed Sprout - A student who showed growth in leadership skills while being involved in SSC.
Winner: Julian Roth
Social Justice Advocate - A student who has developed an understanding of systemic power, privilege, and oppression, as a Social Change Agent.
