Established in September 2023, we are a research team of developmental science and education in the Department of Psychology at Portland State University.
Our Research Focus
Our Research Focus
The Positive Youth Development (PYD) Lab at PSU examines how we can describe, explain, and optimize various positive outcomes among adolescents and young adults from diverse backgrounds. In particular, we take a social justice lens, focusing on how we can promote thriving for youth from marginalized communities in the United States and around the world (e.g., youth of color, immigrant youth).
