My research is settled in numerical analysis of (non-standard) finite element methods. My interests include the construction, analysis, and application of finite elements in the fields of continuum mechanics (especially shells), fluid-structure interaction, shape optimization, (discrete) differential geometry, and numerical relativity.

I have been a developer of the open-source finite element library NGSolve for 8 years, where I implement finite elements, differential geometry support, etc.

I am a member of the editorial board of Computers & Mathematics with Applications.
