The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) Learning Center (LC) is an ESOL Success Center for international students and scholars at PSU and around the world. Everyone is welcome!
We offer high quality English language services and foster a dynamic intercultural learning community.
We provide student-directed ESOL learning opportunities for IELP levels PEP-5, graduate preparation, & international scholars.
Summer term, IELP Learning Center tutoring and conversation partner services are offered Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 5pm.
Remember, you can book a 30-minute conversation partner appointment and an hour with a tutor each week. If you want more appointments, talk to Amber about it.

LC Conversation Partners are your personal communication coaches who help you build confidence in English in a fun and supportive one-on-one or small group session. Bring your friend with you!
Practice communication and fluency in English as an international language.
Practice English listening, speaking, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills.
Ask about slang, general and academic English use.
Practice your presentation skills or talking on the phone.
Practice speaking for situations where you need to make a request, talk about difficult issues, stand up for yourself, talk with a professor, or order something at a restaurant.
Get help with daily English for real life.

Need more than 1 hour of academic ESOL tutoring & 1 conversation partner appointment per week?
Sign up & pay for extra tutoring and conversation partner appointments today ($25 per extra session with a 6 session minimum for PSU Students and for non-PSU Scholars) if you are interested in our academic & success support services.
Our tutoring services typically run weeks 2-10 & our conversation partner services run weeks 2-9 fall, winter, & spring terms. Contact us for information about summer term!
