International Faculty-Led Programs
Why Design a Short-Term International Faculty-Led Program?
In a 2017 PSU Student survey (887 total respondents), we found: 66% indicated that study abroad is a desirable part of their experience but not realistic because:
- “It’s not relevant to my degree”
- “I don’t have time”
- “It’s not affordable”
Faculty-Led Programs address these barriers by:
- Academic Relevance: These programs are designed to meet the needs of specific majors
- Short-Term: Most programs are 2-3 weeks long, allowing working/parenting/busy PSU students the opportunity to study abroad
- Affordability: Short-term programs are among the least expensive options to study abroad
