Daily logs and conference summaries

Keeping track of what is taking place at any COP can be an overwhelming task. Something that helps for doing so is to keep current with daily reports produced by observer groups. Also useful are conference summaries written by these same groups. What follows below is a list of just a few of these reports.

Daily Logs

Pre-Conference Resources

These resources fall into two categories, orientation and issues. Orientation are webinars, online courses, and web sites aimed at helping people who might be attending COP27 understand what to expect and what the key issues being negotiated are. All useful information even if you aren't planning to attend. Issues includes webinars highlighting key issues that will be talked about. Though these events will be live-streamed, many will also be recorded, so don't despair if you miss any of the given dates.

You tube channels for webcasts from the Conference

The following is a list of UN You tube channels that contain links to live and recorded webcasts from both COP27 and COP26.

Opportunities for online engagement

Part of the trick of making sense of all the activity at a COP is to find what the various groups attending the conference are doing. To that end this section contains links to gateways produced by a number of groups in attendance. Many of these gateways provide direct links to live-streamed and/or recorded events of interest to these groups. This section also contains links to events leading up to the COP put on by the UNFCCC or other groups.

The gateways are grouped by constituency and informal grouping to make it easier to find something of interest to you or the group you are representing. A constituency is a collection of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) loosely affiliated by common interests or perspectives. Nine constituencies have been recognized by the UNFCCC secretariat. Informal groupings are subsets of these constituencies.
