How did you learn to feel comfortable with bringing your FM system to rotary classes?

That is a very good question. I always felt self-conscious when I gave the FM system to my teachers in middle school and high school. I have to be honest, I just got used to it with practice. My peers didn’t seem to notice and if they did, they were just curious about the technology. If students asked me about the FM system, I would casually inform them and they were excited to learn about the device.
Think of the situation like this – would you rather be uncomfortable for 5 minutes at the start of class or uncomfortable for the entire class because you couldn’t hear clearly? I think that most students would rather be uncomfortable for 5 minutes and this shows that the value of the FM system is more important than what other students might think.
I absolutely love using my FM system because I know it helps me listen attentively to the lesson. It helps me learn, write notes and follow along. I don't really think about what other students think when they see me giving the device to my professor/teacher at the beginning of each class. This is because the benefit of using the FM system is more important to me than what other students might think.
Usually when students are watching or staring, it is just because they are curious about the technology. They might ask "Is it a recording device? Why doesn't the speaker make it louder for them as well?" So, I just bring it up myself and explain that this is a cool microphone that helps me hear the teacher better. You might want to do this with a friend you trust in the class first to practice.
Another option is to come to class a bit early and leave the FM system on the teacher's desk (and pick it up from their desk after class), as opposed to actually handing it to them in person and having others watch.
