Kayla

Hello my name is Kayla and I am Deaf in both ears and I wear 2 cochlear implants. I attended Harold M. Braithwaite Secondary School from 2016-2020.

Education: I am currently working as a apprentice at Planet Ford in Brampton and working towards earning my license. 

Work Experience: Prior to working at Planet Ford, I have also worked at Auto Planet as a apprentice as well. During my last year of highschool, I worked at Brampton Transit for co-op as a truck and coach apprentice as part of the PRE-OYAP program that was offered to co-op students. I have also did co-op at Pro Oil Change as a service co-op technician. 

Amplification: I currently have the Nucleus 7 cochlear implant processors, so the Nucleus app is what I often use for amplification, as well as the Mini Mic.

Hobbies: My hobbies include modifying my car. I have a Subaru Impreza and I am working towards modding it. I also run a YouTube channel called "Carib Tings" and I like to post for entertainment, as well as be part of events that happen throughout the GTA.
