Faiz

Hello all, my name is Faiz and I have bilateral cochlear implants. I graduated from Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School in June 2023.

Education: I am a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Guelph with a minor in Sports and Event Management.

Work Experience/ Hobbies:  I’m involved in a lot of things—working as a Teaching Assistant for MCS2020 DE, where I help students with course material, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where I’ve contributed to AI and data management projects. Outside of academics, I play competitive soccer, participate in multiple intramural leagues, and even coach soccer. I’m always looking to balance my passion for tech, sports, and learning new skills. 

Amplification:  I currently do not use any remote microphones with my cochlear implant sound processors.
