Volunteer hours + $200 per week honorarium

Camp U of T Mississauga is a day camp that runs out of the University of Toronto Mississauga Recreation Athletics and Wellness department. We offer a variety of camps ranging from academic (French, Forensics etc.) to athletic (Multi-Sport, Soccer, Basketball, Racquet) camps to children from age 6-16

2-3 weeks of the summer (June 24th-28th mandatory training, July 1st- August 23rd Camp Operations) 8:30 am- 4:30pm each day.$200 honorarium given for each week of volunteering

what does and doesn't qualify

  • All students are required to complete 40 hours of Community Service to achieve their Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Remember your Community Service CANNOT be an activity for which you do or would get paid, that you are doing as part of a Co-op course, or that would replace an employee who would be paid to do the job
  • Please read the document below to understand what does and doesn't qualify as Community Service

Tracking your hours

  • Students must use the form below to track their hours and have their supervisor SIGN OFF on the number of hours and the activity they were a part of
  • This form must be submitted to the Guidance office for processing. If your Guidance Counselor has questions about your Community Service hours, they will speak to you to get any clarifications
  • Please do not wait until the end of your Grade 12 year to submit your hours, as they do take time to process
