MAAWNJIDING WIINGUSHKENG’s 

Maawnjiding Wiingushkeng Centre of Indigenous Excellence and Land‑Based Learning at the Peel District School Board is honoured to host its 3rd annual Powwow (Jingtamok) on Friday, May 29, 2026.

This gathering has become a meaningful celebration for Indigenous and non‑Indigenous community members, welcoming thousands for a day of culture, connection, and learning.

This year’s Powwow will feature educational pavilions led by Indigenous partners and over 50 Indigenous vendors, along with dancers of all ages, including PDSB students who took part in last year’s special “Coming Out” ceremony.

The community is already looking forward to this year’s event, anticipating another rich and memorable experience.
